About the Award

The Excellence & Credibility Award (also known as The ECA Award, ECA Award, The ECA, or ECA), established in 2020 and founded and named after Dr Emmanuel C. Anadebe, is an initiative aimed at promoting interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among final-year secondary school students, while testing their command of the English Language in communicating the circumstances around them, using critical and analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and demonstrating their leadership style.

In an effort to ease the final financial load on parents that comes with the last term of their ward's secondary education, this award helps the winner pay off tuition, PTA, and house levies (if any), register for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations, and provides a stipend for three months' pocket allowance. The ECA Award is presented annually.
